"On the roll" is a remake of the movie of 1991 with tremendous Patrick Swayze and unforgettable Keanu Reeves. Creators of the movie took rather risky step, creating a remake, you have to be ready that the new movie will begin to be compared to old. For this reason it is important not to lose face.
1) Plot:
Movie plot rather unpretentious. In it there are no difficult and confused peripetias, but the movie does not lose from it. All this is compensated by tremendous tricks and types. Here I can clap only to the operator. The plain jump from a parachute would seem or usual descent from the mountain turns into the gripping show accompanied with perfectly picked up music. In a word you should not miss definitely.
2) Actor's game:
At once I want to tell that despite excellent game, Edgar Ramirez and Luke Breysi lack that charm and charm that Patrick and Keanu had. But every time when I go on a remake of any movie, I try not to think of it. Then from viewing you derive much less pleasure. Nevertheless I was disappointed in Luke's game a little. It grows dim in comparison with Edgar Ramirez. Perhaps all the matter is that Bodkhi is more interesting character, than Johnny Juta. All movie Luke goes with one person: climbs down a mountain, talks, clambers on rocks — one and too a look. I was not pleased also by Theresa Palmer as Samsara. It turned out rather monotonous, as well as Utah. In it there is no charm, and in romanticism, the arisen boundary her heroine and Luke's hero, I do not trust at all. So practically all movie leaves at Edgar Ramirez's the game.
3) Separately I want to note work of stuntmen. They did improbable work.
At the exit we receive a worthy remake at which it is worth looking at cinema even for the sake of improbable tricks. Of course actor's game pumped up a little. Luke Breysi and Theresa Palmer in lose to the predshevstvenik many, but here Edgar Ramirez can quite compete with Patrick Swayze for a rank of "best Bodkhi".
