Krampus

The film "Krampus" shot by Michael Daugherty think a good representative of the genre "comedy horror", with the movie and scary and funny at the same time. We should really have talent, adhering to a certain edge, when the film is held between the middle of horror and comedy, not slipping into something one, though it seemed to me, a horror movie still more.

Watching "Krampus" I am having good memories about "Gremlins' Joe Dante, taken already in 1984. Indeed, the atmosphere of horror and humor in these two tapes is very similar. Only instead of a cute fluffy Gizmo and vicious green gremlins-like mixture of lizards with the elves in front of us coming lovely to look at, but with cruel intentions gingerbread, toothy soft teddy bear, a transformer, a flying creature with a doll head, elves and many different monsters well, and of course the owner of all this evil - the ancient horned god of fertility, the prototype of Santa Claus Krampus.



The very image of Krampus seemed to me similar to Jeepers Creepers by Victor Salva. What? Too weird sinister demon, but not in every spring 23, and on Christmas Eve to the disobedient to the families, and the appearance of the Krampus a dark and mysterious.

I believe that the first half of the film has turned out more interesting than the second, where the scary story reaches its climax showing us all the monsters in a row, and even lava fire that some wild sounds for the film, the events which occur in the winter at Christmas.

Suspense, scary moments, the atmosphere of terror performed well, remember the fabulous' 80s horror films as "Dolls," "Gremlins," "Critters," "Tremors," "Demonic Toys" that a child is quite frightening. I think children "Krampus" and all seem very scary horror film like, say I'm a child afraid of Chucky doll or where Freddy Krueger. For adults, the "Krampus" good attraction of horror and comedy.

Very pleased that the light was a new good shot Christmas horror. Perhaps since the "Gremlins," "Snowman" by Michael Cooney, I have not seen anything as exciting and atmospheric. Yes, it's a kind of a movie is delusional, but the uniqueness of the idea deserves a good grade. With the exception of "Gremlins" I do not remember a similar kind of paintings convey an atmosphere of Christmas tales. The same "Silent Night, Deadly Night," "Santa Killer" inferior "Krampus" in the spirit of the holiday and look less interesting.

Verdict. Know what to go to the movies. "Krampus" is not funny family comedy a la "Home Alone", but it is a terrible, an extraordinary representative of the New Year horror with elements of comedy. I think fans of "Gremlins" and other children's horror stories will not be disappointed. Children "Krampus" will definitely scare, adults I recommend to prepare and at least read the description of the film, to know what they are going to the movies and do not razocharovalic later. Indifferent to the "Krampus" just will not.
