The Walk

Acrophobia - fear of heights obsessive. Walk - American biographical film about the French tightrope walker Philippe Petit, shot very impressive. And here I am, the more acrophobe, I went for a walk. During the show I had panic attacks happened 3-4 times. Once very much. Want more impressions without spoilers? And how can prospoylerit plot of almost documentary film, which has long been known the whole story?

Now I am writing a review on a movie about a tightrope walk, and his hands were trembling slightly so far. Directed by Robert Zemeckis came to the creation of the film very seriously. Perhaps two-thirds of the timing in the film given the most interesting: the preparation and implementation of the stunt. Everything is described in great detail and in detail, no rush. The first third of the surface of the film tells the story of Philippe Petit's biography: he became a tightrope walker, as familiar with the team that has helped him realize the trick. In the film, there is no rush, but the walk - and not tightened boring movie.

What awaits the viewer on a walk? Not so much the history of Philip as possible to experience the sensations and impressions, when you stand on a thin steel cable between the two twin towers at a height of over 400 meters. Did Zemeckis convey the gamut of emotions on the screen? Oh yes, kids, even as it was possible. The film comes out only in 3D, you can only watch it on the big and huge screens. If you acrophobe same as me (terribly afraid of heights, to panic attacks) - a campaign for the film you ordered. An excellent opportunity to practice your willpower and to curb the emotions, sitting in a chair cinema.

Frankly my impressions. During the show, I have panic attacks advancing 3 or 4 times once - especially hard when I really began to choke and had to take very seriously himself, for the time to close your eyes and prodyshatsya. I will not spoil what this moment. But you know, when it will appear that has already been used to mean the top and most likely before the end of the film you have inspection without problems - the director will present a couple of new angles, types and effects from which breath away again.

Acting raises no objections, all the characters look quite succinctly, each with its own character, brilliantly played by the actor. Can not someone to allocate especially certain and scold. All very organic!

As a biographical, but still feature film Walk left quite interesting, it is not perfect, but good. But here's a brilliant director and cinematography, incredible views and angles of shooting, total immersion and 100% of presence - for this is no doubt the film deserves the highest praise.

Outcome. Go check your nerves. Always in the cinema, always in 3D, always with a big screen. For TV screen or PC monitor the effect will tend to zero. I do not know, maybe later I'll go to the movie again and try to see that, for me the most terrible scene where a panic attack has been especially strong again. I am mentally ready for it. But, hell, all filmed so realistic that ... But better see for yourself!
